SSR Workshop Design & Delivery

A regional intergovernmental organisation required Security Sector Reform training for a fragile state emerging from protracted civil conflict. Over a three-week sprint, BACS designed and delivered an immersive, syndicate-based workshop that became the model adopted for all remaining member-state SSR programmes.

The Challenge

Competing priorities between the sponsoring body and the fragile state; ambiguous requirements; wide disparity in practitioner skills; and funding constraints against high recipient expectations.

National Security Strategy roadmap developed and agreed.
SSR curriculum created, professionalising the discipline to attract talent.

South West England · Minibus Operator

Operator Licence Rescue & Compliance Transformation

A major minibus operator with a fleet of 80+ vehicles faced imminent loss of their operator licence following a Traffic Commissioner investigation. BACS provided urgent representation at the Public Inquiry then led a full compliance transformation, saving the business and its livelihoods.

The Challenge

Public Inquiry scheduled within four weeks of appointment; lack of client buy-in; conflicting shareholder priorities in a family-owned business; and deeply entrenched non-compliant behaviours across the fleet.

Successfully represented the company at the Traffic Commissioner Public Inquiry.
Operator licence retained. Traffic Commissioner paused withdrawal on the strength of a three-month roadmap.
